Kalfou's 3rd Annual Article Workshop

Workshop date: Saturday, October 24, 2026
Virtual event (Zoom)

Submission deadline: send working draft of article (~3,000-6,000 words) to submissions@kalfou.ucsb.edu by September 30, 2026

Please join us for Kalfou’s third annual article workshop, an event where activists, scholars, artists, students, and K–12 educators gather together to develop exciting new projects for submission to the journal. This year, we are accepting full-length article drafts on ANY topic relating to our publication mission.

Anyone is welcome! Just as Kalfou seeks to build links among artists, activists, and researchers in the struggle for social justice, the event will create a space for participants to develop their ideas in a dialogic workshop format. Participants will receive constructive feedback from members of Kalfou’s illustrious editorial boards in preparation for submission to the journal.
